Description

The Baptist Chapel, built in 1844, features a large modillioned gable pediment and is constructed from gault brick with a slate roof. This two-storey building has three round-headed windows on the first floor, which have hung sashes and glazing bars. These windows are connected at the imposts by plain plastered arches and a band at the sill level. The chapel also has two entrances, each with two flush panelled doors and a central hung sash window with glazing bars. Inside, the chapel retains its complete seating and has a gallery supported by slender iron columns. The chapel is mentioned in Kelly's Directory for Hunts in 1894.
