Description

Barnes House is an 18th-century two-storey house with attics, situated on Church Street. It is constructed of gault brick with red brick dressings, and has a modern tile roof. The front elevation is symmetrical, featuring a two-storey bay window on either side of a central doorway. The doorway is framed by fluted Doric pilasters, an entablature with a dentilled cornice, and a pediment. A six-panelled door is set within, with a metal fanlight above in a semi-circular head. A window sits above the door. Three hipped dormers are visible. The end walls are gabled. Barnes House forms a group with the Church of All Saints and The Nook.
