Description

The Chestnuts is an 18th-century, two-storey house on Church Street. It is timber-framed with a plastered exterior and a tile roof, displaying a symmetrical front facade. The house has three windows, with a Venetian-style window centrally placed. The doorway is flanked by bay windows featuring dentilled cornices and original glazing bars; the original doorway is now covered by a later porch built in the 18th century. Gable ends are present on each wall.
