Description
Nos. 1 and 3 on Westwood Road are late 17th century or early 18th century buildings that have been altered. Originally, they were three cottages. The structures are two stories tall, with a lower extension at the southeast end. No. 1 is built of red brick, while No. 3 is made of painted brick. Both have tiled roofs, although No. 1 features modern asbestos tiles, and there is brick corbelling at the eaves. A plain band runs between the storeys. Each building has three windows, and No. 3 has a later entrance bay with decorated barge boards. These buildings are included for their group value, as they form a group with Nos. 9 to 13 (odd) Church Street.
