Description

This is a 17th-century cottage located on the east side of High Street, Great Paxton. It was divided into two separate dwellings during the 19th century. The building has a three-unit and lobby-entry plan, with a small lean-to, possibly originally a dairy, on the west side. It’s timber-framed, with roughcast rendering and a half-hipped thatched roof, featuring a ridge stack on the south side. The cottage has two storeys, with three early 19th-century horizontal sliding sash windows on the first floor. The ground floor has two early 19th-century doorcases, each with a flush panel door, and two modern windows.
