Description
Hereward Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on the south side of Earith High Street. It features a timber-framed structure with rough-cast exterior and a red brick parapet gable on the left side. The roof is covered in plain tiles and has a large ridge stack on the right side.
The cottage has two first-floor windows with iron frames and leafed lights. To the left, there is a small two-panelled door. On the ground floor, there is one hung sash window with glazing bars and one leaded light window. A six-panelled door is aligned with the stack on the right side.
To the left of the main structure, there is a single-storey range made of colour-washed bricks, also with a plain tile roof and an end stack. This range includes two hung sash windows with glazing bars set in flat arches, along with a central doorway that has a modern door.
