Description

This is a late 18th century house located on the south side of High Street in Earith. The front of the house is built of yellow gault brick, with a timber-framed section and a rendered gable wall. It has a modern tile roof with a low, irregular parapet gable on the right-hand side, as well as an external chimney stack on the left-hand side and a larger central chimney stack behind the ridge.

The two-storey front features two first-floor windows recessed behind hung sash windows with glazing bars and small margin lights, set within cambered brick arches. A central blind window is positioned above the doorway. Two similar sash windows are at ground-floor level, and a central door is located between them. The door is framed by moulded pilasters, a simple entablature, a projecting cornice, and panelled reveals. The door itself is six-panelled.

A later two-storey range extends from the rear of the property, built of gault brick with a plain tile roof and a chimney stack. This rear section includes one horizontal sliding sash window with glazing bars on the first floor, and one large hung sash window with glazing bars on the ground floor.
