Description

31 and 33 The Green is a late 16th century cottage that may have had later additions to the west and was originally used as a poorhouse. The building is timber-framed and has rough-cast rendering. It consists of five bays and features a thatched roof with one 17th century red brick ridge stack. There are five dormers on the south side, along with five windows and two doorways on the ground floor. Inside, there is a 17th century stop-chamfered main beam in the eastern end bays. One bay in No 31 was originally open to the roof but now has an inserted floor.
