Description

This is a pair of mid-19th century houses located on the south side of High Street in Holywell-cum-Needlingworth. The houses are built of gault brick with a low-pitched slate roof. They feature three chimney stacks, each with paired shafts and a shared entablature. Projecting gables, each two stories in height, flank the doorway to number 53. A range of four recessed sash windows is set into the first floor, each set within a cambered arch of gauged brick. The ground floor has three large sash windows. The entrances consist of two six-panelled doors, each with a rectangular fanlight above.
