Description

29 High Street is a 16th century cottage that may have originally featured an open hall plan with a side stack, which is dated 1591 on the mantel beam above the hearth. The cottage has a two-bayed cross-wing on the right side and a floored bay with a later extension on the left side. It is one storey with an attic, constructed from timber framing and rough-cast, topped with thatched roofs. There is an early 18th century canted bay window with a hipped pantiled roof, featuring two fixed lights and horizontal sliding sash windows with glazing bars on the right side. To the left of the side stack, there is a six-panelled door and a plank door.
