Description
No. 3 Bell Lane is an early 19th-century double-fronted house that stands two storeys tall. It is constructed of gault brick and features a low-pitched slate roof with end stacks. The building has a moulded eaves cornice and a symmetrical arrangement of three recessed hung sash windows on the first floor, which have segmental heads and glazing bars set within shouldered architraves made of cast stone. The ground floor has similar windows in flat arches that flank a central doorway. This doorway has a round-headed arch, a key block, and a fan light above it. The doorcase is adorned with plain pilasters, an entablature, and a projecting cornice. The entrance features a two-panelled door with applied moulding on each panel, following a shouldered pattern. The details of the door are similar to those found at Providence Place, which is dated 1838.
