Description

25 Chequer Street is an early 19th-century house located at a corner position. It is two storeys tall and constructed of gault brick, with earlier local brick used in the side walls. The house features a low pitch, hipped tile roof with a stack on the right side. At both floor levels, there is one recessed hung sash window with glazing bars set in cambered gauged brick arches. The doorway is on the left side and has a doorcase with plain pilasters, reveals, and an entablature with a projecting cornice. The door itself is from the 20th century.
