Description

This is an early 19th-century house located on the south-east side of Chequer Street, Fenstanton. The building is constructed of rough-cast brick and has a thatched mansard roof with end stacks. A later gable extension, with a low-pitched slate roof, has been added to the left-hand side. The house is two storeys and has attics, with a band marking the floor level. The first floor features four hung sash windows with glazing bars, set within segmental arches. On the ground floor, there are three recessed hung sash windows with glazing bars, and a door within a segmental arch, positioned to the left of centre. A single-storey timber-framed range with a thatched roof extends to the rear.
