Description

Nos. 12 and 13, Waits, date from 1588 and were altered in the 18th century. They are a pair of two-storey buildings with dormers, originally comprising one building with four windows. The roof is tiled and mansard style. The exterior is red painted brick with a cement plinth. The windows are flush sash windows with architraves, each with a gauged segmental brick arch above. They have early 19th-century glazing with margin lights. Number 12 features an early 19th-century splayed bay window on the first floor, and a 19th-century wooden shop front with shutters. Both properties have recessed house and shop doorways, each featuring a fanlight and panelled door. The windows and doorway of number 13 have been altered. The buildings are included in the list for their group value.
