Description

The Lodge to the Cemetery in Kimbolton was built in 1858 and designed by architect Mr. Wimpriss. It is constructed from gault brick, featuring bands and patterned work in red brick. The gabled roof is covered with red and grey fishscale tiles arranged in bands, and it has a ridge stack with a dentil cornice at the top. The building is one storey with attics. On the south elevation, there is one eaves dormer with a casement window that has diamond lights set in a two-centred head. There are two similar windows at ground level on either side of a two-stage buttress, and the entrance is located in the gable end. The Inskip Ladds Collection at the Norris Museum in St. Ives holds related materials.
