Description

This is an 18th-century brick house, later faced with 19th-century stucco incised to resemble stone. It has a plain tiled roof with end chimneys and two dormers. The building is two storeys and has attics. The front features a range of three sash windows with glazing bars, set within moulded wooden architraves. Two tripartite sash windows, similarly glazed and with glazing bars, are positioned on either side of the central doorway, their architraves fluted and adorned with corner bosses. The fluted doorcase has a plain entablature, leading to a panelled door. An early 19th-century open-sided porch with a flat roof stands before the entrance, supported by two slender, fluted columns carrying a plain entablature, and featuring pierced wooden decoration in the spandrels. Original lead rainwater heads, straps, and a downpipe are also present. The interior includes a 19th-century open-string staircase, original fireplace surrounds, and window architraves. A sunken pantry is located in the northwest corner of the building.
