Description

This is a mid to late 17th century barn located to the south of Church Farmhouse. It features four bays and is constructed from local soft red brick. The barn has a half-hipped thatched roof with timber-framed and weather-boarded gable ends. There is an aisled bay opposite the main south-facing entrance, and ventilation slits are decoratively grouped in pairs or fours. Inside, the barn has storey posts with thickened heads and a double purlin pine roof with queen struts. The south wall has modern buttressing.
