Description
Greystones is a house that has been converted into a public house. It dates from the early 19th century and is faced with limestone ashlar, although the original roof is now covered with modern interlocking tiles. The building features flush end stacks made of brick that rise above the ridge. Its main range faces the Green and includes a domestic wing, creating an L-shape. The structure is two storeys tall with an attic and has three modern dormers. There are three 19th-century sixteen-panel, flush frame hung sashes that sit under flat arches. Flanking the central doorway, which is set in a double recessed round-headed arch, are two later 19th-century bay windows. The rear range may be older and has rendered walls with a steeply pitched roof. Inside, there are no notable features except for a grey marble fireplace dating from around 1840.
