Description

This is a late 18th-century building originally comprising one structure with a carriageway between the shops. It was formerly the Star Public House. The building is two storeys high with attics in a mansard roof. The roof is modern tiled, and the facade is of gault brick, with number 20 painted. It has four windows, with later glazing and a later oriel window replacing one of the original. Four flat-topped dormers are visible in the roof. The ground floor features two 19th-century shop fronts, characterized by pilasters supporting an entablature. Numbers 6 to 28 (even) form a group.
