Description

No. 7 Broadway is a former public house known as the Duke's Arms and an 18th-century malthouse. The building has a front dating from the 18th century and is constructed of painted brick with a modern tile roof. It stands two storeys high and features a carriageway with a rusticated segmental arch on the left side. On the right, there is a modern shop front that includes three windows with hung sashes and glazing bars. The building has an old rectangular chimney stack with a rebuilt top. Inside, there is a ground floor room that retains original panelling, cornices, a fireplace, and chamfered beams. This property is part of a group that includes Nos. 1, 7 to 13 (odd), Nos. 17, and Nos. 21 to 39 (odd), along with the shop adjoining No. 1.
