Description

Brothers House is a 17th century timber-framed house located on the north-east side of East Street, Kimbolton. The house has a three-unit plan with a rear wing. It is roughcast rendered with a steeply pitched plain tile roof. There are stacks on the rear and to the south-east. A two-storey canted bay window with hung sashes and glazing bars is on the north-west side of the doorway, which is a half-glazed door with a plain wooden architrave and a flat, bracketed canopy. The first floor has three windows, including two horizontal sliding sashes with glazing bars. The ground floor has two hung sash windows with glazing bars. The interior features an ovolo moulded ceiling beam in the hall, along with a 19th century staircase and doors.
