Description
The forge and stable range, located approximately 40 metres north of The Haycock Inn, dates from the 18th century and mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with freestone dressings, featuring roofs that are covered with Collyweston stone slates and pantiles. The stable range is two stories high and has a first-floor loft that connects to the forge via a covered way, creating an L-shaped layout. The southeast elevation of the stable range includes a central boarded door and two windows, with a loft entrance to the right that has a boarded door and windows fitted with wooden ventilation slats. Inside, there is a complete brick forge.
