Description
Manor Farmhouse is an early 19th-century house located on the west side of Main Street in Kings Ripton. It is constructed of red brick, with some burnt bricks, and features a hipped, plain tiled roof with two ridge stacks. The building has a T-plan that includes a rear kitchen wing and stands two storeys tall.
The symmetrical south front displays segmental arches over two original twenty-pane hung sash windows on either side of a nine-pane window. The ground floor has similar arches over larger twenty-pane hung sash windows that flank a doorway. This doorway is framed by original moulded architrave with decorative boss enrichment at the corners. The door itself is a flush panelled type with two small glazed upper panels.
The domestic wing is made from similar materials and also has two storeys. It features segmental arches over two ground floor hung sash windows, each with twenty-eight panes, along with two boarded doors.
