Description

Christ Church is a church built around 1870 in the early English style. It is constructed of red brick with bands of black brick and features a steeply pitched slate roof adorned with crested ridge tiles and a timber bell-cote over the crossing. The west end of the church has a four-light window set in a two-centred arch. The nave consists of two bays, separated by two-stage buttresses, each containing two lancet windows. To the west, there is a gabled brick porch with stone colonettes framing the outer arch. The church also includes gabled chapels on the north and south sides, along with an apsed chancel.
