Description
Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4 South Brink are three shops dating from the early 19th century, with No. 1 situated at a corner position. They are constructed of local brown brick and topped with a slate roof. The buildings rise to three storeys and feature a parapet with stone copings. The second floor has seven recessed hung sash windows with nine panes, set in cambered brick arches and stone cills. The first floor contains seven similar windows, but with twelve panes.
The ground floor includes three shop windows; Nos. 1 and 2 have matching designs with shop doors in panelled reveals and console brackets supporting a wooden entablature. No. 3 features Corinthian pilasters flanking its entablature. Additionally, there are two six-panelled doors and two half-glazed doors. The corner elevation displays two blind windows and one 19th-century hung sash window. Prints and photographs from the 18th and 19th centuries are associated with W. & F. Mus.
