Description
No. 125 is a house, now divided into two dwellings, built in 1691, as indicated by a dated stone on the front wall. It is constructed of soft red brick in Flemish bond with yellow brick detailing. The roof is a mansard style covered with Collyweston slate, featuring yellow brick tumbled gable end parapets and a sawtooth eaves cornice. There is an original ridge stack with three flues and a string course. The building has two storeys and an attic, with two dormers. The front features rubbed yellow brick arches above two 19th-century flush frame hung sashes, and similar brick is used for the segmental arches above two additional 19th-century hung sashes on either side of the doorway, which has a mid-19th century door resembling that of No. 126 West End. A band runs between the storeys. The interior of the house has been remodelled.
