Description

Greenways is a cottage built in 1831. It features a front wall made of gault brick, with reused red brick on the side and rear walls. The roof is slate and has an end stack. The cottage is single storey and has two flush frame hung sash windows, each with a single vertical glazing bar set in a segmental arch. The central door, also in a segmental arch, has a boarded door and a boarded porch. There is a detached privy at the south corner, made of brick and covered with pantiles. This building was formerly the stokers cottage associated with Stretham Old Engine House and is included for its group value.
