Description

No 22 on King's Parade is a 17th-century timber-framed building that was refaced in brick around 1730. It stands three storeys high with attics, featuring a red brick exterior and a tiled roof with a gabled end facing King's Parade. The building has two recesses and a rainwater pipe with a shaped head. The north front has five windows, which are later sashes, and there is a moulded stone cornice below the parapet. Gabled dormers are present in the roof. Both elevations have modern shop fronts. Inside, there is an 18th-century oak staircase. All the listed buildings on the east side of King's Parade form a group.
