Description
Three linked residential courts, built between 1961 and 1968, are located due west of the Central Buildings at Churchill College. Designed by Sheppard Robson and Partners, the buildings feature brown brick construction, concrete, and varnished timber windows, topped with a flat roof covered in copper. They rise two to three storeys and have irregular facades with projecting brick bay windows at intervals, each with flat tops. Concrete bands run between the storeys and at the roof level. These courts are an integral part of the planned layout of Churchill College and reflect the architectural style of New Architecture in Cambridge.
