Description
56 Storey's Way is a building dating from around 1910, designed by M H Baillie Scott in a picturesque style. It features a tiled roof with hipped projecting wings and a two-storey porch. The porch has a four-centred arched head made of brickwork, with the front door set back at an angle. There is a tall staircase window, and all the windows are fitted with leaded lights. The building includes dormers at two levels and an iron-studded oak door, reflecting the Arts and Crafts movement. It is noted that Baillie Scott is said to have lived here himself.
