Description
Merton Hall is a 16th-century building that was extended to the north in the 17th century. It is a long, narrow house with two storeys and attics. The structure is part timber-framed and plastered, and part brick, with a tiled roof. The north end wall is made of brick and features a shaped gable, while the south end of the east front is gabled. Most of the windows are modern, but there are five dormers from around 1800. The building has two 18th-century doorcases with pilastered surrounds and retains some original interior features.
