Description

Westminster and Cheshunt College is a building constructed in 1899 by H T Hare. It is made of red brick with stone dressings and features projecting wings and a tower topped with a decorative short lantern. The overall architectural style is Tudor, but it includes elements reminiscent of the 17th century, such as cartouches and squat Doric columns, along with Art Nouveau fittings. The Chapel, also designed by Hare, was added in 1921 and includes windows created by Strachan of Edinburgh. The entire complex was re-roofed in 1972.
