Description

The Great Bridge, also known as Magdalene Bridge, is a bridge built in 1823 over the River Cam, connecting Bridge Street and Magdalene Street. Designed by architect Arthur Browne, it features a single span made of cast iron, topped with an iron railing that has quatrefoil and trefoil decoration. The bridge is supported by ashlar piers.
