Description

Marshall's Cottages is an early 15th century hall house featuring crosswings. It has red plain tile roofs and consists of one storey and attics in the central range, with two storeys in the crosswings. The building is timber framed, partially plastered, and partially weatherboarded. It has double hung, vertical sliding sash windows with glazing bars, as well as modern casements, and a dormer at the rear. The crosswings are gabled at the front and jettied. Inside, much of the original work remains, including crown post roofs and a late 15th century mantel beam with elaborate roll mouldings.
