Description
Harveys Farmhouse is a 15th-century hall house featuring gabled crosswings. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with a red plain tile roof that is partly gambrelled. The crosswings, which were originally jettied, have been underbuilt. The house has a modern range of three windows with casements and a modern porch. The entrance doorway is adorned with an early 19th-century reeded surround and patera. Some of the framing is exposed on the south end. The north wing dates back to the 15th century and includes a mid-16th-century inserted chimney stack and first floor in the hall. There are also remains of a 16th-century newel stair. The south wing is from the early 17th century and features an original framed side purlin roof.
