Description

The Plough Public House is a late 16th century or early 17th century house that is timber framed and weatherboarded, topped with a hipped roof made of red plain tiles. It stands two storeys tall and features a three-window range with double hung vertical sliding sashes that include glazing bars. The building has an L-shaped plan, with the east front consisting of three bays plus a chimney bay. There are modern single storey extensions at both the front and rear. Inside, much of the original frame remains exposed.
