Description

This is a late 18th or early 19th century house, originally stuccoed with a parapet and a decorative cornice featuring modillions. The front of the building is lined to resemble ashlar stonework. It is three storeys high, with two segmental bays projecting forward on the front elevation, and these bays extend through the upper two storeys. The windows are a mixture of double-hung sash windows and 20th-century casements. The ground floor now contains an amusement arcade. The building has been significantly altered over time and is included on the list for its contribution to the group value of numbers 1 to 5, which form a cohesive group along Marine Parade.
