Description
31 St Nicholas Street is a building dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It stands three storeys tall and is faced with stucco. The building features a block cornice and a parapet with coping. On the upper floors, there are two windows; the second floor has a four-over-four pane sash window and a three-over-four pane sash window, both with slightly recessed frames and keystones. The first floor has a similar three-pane wide sash window on the right, and on the left, there is a very shallow tripartite bow window with panelled pilasters that divide the glazing bar lights, along with a frieze and a projecting moulded cornice. The ground floor has been entirely altered in the early 20th century. Nos 29, 30, and 31 form a group.
