Description

The Old Custom House, located at 121 Bridge Street in Peterborough, is an early 18th-century building constructed from rubble with ashlar quoins. It features a restored hipped stone slate roof topped with a hexagonal cupola and a weathervane. The building has three storeys and exhibits irregular fenestration, with both sash and casement windows that lack glazing bars. There are round-headed doorways with fanlights on the north and south elevations, each with a circular window above on the top storey. The building is currently used as the Sea Cadet Headquarters.
