Description

The Prince of Wales Feathers is an early 19th-century stone house featuring an ashlar front. It has a low pitched slate roof with gabled ends and stands two storeys tall with a three-window range. The centre first floor window is blind, while the ground floor windows are sashes with modern leaded panes, all set beneath stone lintels with keyblocks. A band runs at floor level, and there is a central round arched doorway with a keyblock, a blind fanlight, and a modern door. The building has end stacks with brick tops.

Adjoining to the south is an 18th-century wing, which was formerly a separate cottage facing Peterborough Road. This wing is constructed of stone rubble and has a steep pantile roof with gabled ends, brick end stacks, and is one storey with an attic. It features two wedge-shaped dormers with casements and three 19th-century sashes on the ground floor. There is also a 19th-century single-storey addition at the corner, made of ashlar with a slate roof and wide segmental arched windows.
