Description
Top Lodge Farmhouse is a late 18th century to early 19th century house constructed from coursed stone with ashlar dressings. It features a Collyweston stone roof with coped gable ends and stands two storeys high with an attic. The building has a three-window range, with modern two and three-light casements on the first floor. The ground floor includes two modern bay windows and a central doorway that is topped by a stone basket arch with a keyblock and fanlight. There are also two gabled dormers adorned with ornate pierced bargeboards. The farmhouse has ashlar internal end chimney stacks and a 18th century stone wing at the rear, which has a lower Collyweston stone roof. The house is positioned at right angles to the road, with outbuildings attached to the north-west end.
