Description
Grossmith Farmhouse, built in the early 19th century, is a two-storey house constructed from coursed stone with flush quoins and features a Collyweston stone roof with gabled ends. The building has three bays and includes sash windows with glazing bars set in segmental headed openings that have keyblocks. The central doorway is also segmental headed, featuring a glazed door and a wooden trellis porch. The farmhouse has ashlar end stacks with cornices.
At the rear, there is a contemporary wing that forms an L-shaped plan, along with an adjoining stable wing from the 18th century. This stable wing is made of stone and has a steeply pitched Collyweston stone roof with a coped gable end. It is one storey with an attic, a small hipped dormer, and external stone steps leading to a loft door in the end gable.
