Description

This is an early 18th-century thatched cottage located in Baintown Ashton. The cottage is constructed of coursed stone rubble with a thatched roof featuring gabled ends. It is a single-story building with an attic, and contains casement windows. An eyebrow dormer window is present on the roof, and there are end stacks. A modern flat-roofed stone addition has been built onto the front of the building. The west end of the exterior is likely from the later 18th century, featuring coursed stone and a thatched roof, with a hipped end. A single-story lean-to has been added to the east end.
