Description
The north forecourt area railings and gates at Burghley House date from the 18th century and are located on the boundary of the Parishes of Barnack and St Martins Without. These fine wrought iron railings feature decorated stanchions and are set on a panelled stone plinth, forming a large semi-circular plan in front of the house. At the center of this arrangement, there is a pair of ornate wrought iron gates accompanied by gate piers and an overthrow.
