Description
41 Long Causeway is a Grade II listed building located in Peterborough, constructed in 1913 by architect Alan Ruddle. This three-storey structure is designed in a plain neo-Tudor style and is built from Portland stone, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The gabled end features a canted bay with a crenellated parapet, displaying a window arrangement of 2-6-2 lights, complete with mullions and transoms. On the ground floor, there is a segmental-headed door and one window. The side elevation consists of five windows across two storeys, also with mullions and transoms, arranged in a pattern of 4-6-8-6-4 lights. A central window is positioned beneath two Tudor chimney stacks on either side. The ground floor includes three segmental-headed windows and two doorways, and the building is set on a black marble plinth. No 41, Kings Lodging, The Precincts, and No 3 Bridge Street form a group in a prominent position.
