Description

28 Precincts is a building from the 19th century, likely incorporating parts of an earlier structure. It stands two storeys tall and features a front elevation that is primarily 19th century, constructed of ashlar stone. The roof is covered with Welsh slate and shares its design with the 19th century section of the King's Lodging. The building has a gable with kneelers and displays irregular fenestration, which includes stone mullions with six and four lights. On the ground floor, there are two windows with two lights each and one window with a single light. The entrance features a four-centred door set within a square-headed architrave that has moulding. This building, along with numbers 24 to 28, Bishop's Gate, and the King's Lodging, forms a cohesive group.
