Description
Nos 3 and 4 Abbey Place is a mid to late 19th century building made of yellow brick with stone dressings. It features a Collyweston slate roof with coped gable ends and stands two storeys high with an attic. The façade has a four-window range, with the end bays gabled and featuring attic windows. There are two gabled dormers between these bays. The windows are two-light stone mullions with brick arches above. The ground floor has a central moulded passageway with a four-centred arch and a drip mould, a three-light window to the left, and an altered two-light window to the right. On either side, there are late 19th century small shop windows that project and have tiled roofs supported by shaped brackets. The building also has ashlar end chimney stacks with cornices. It is included for its group value.
