Description
The Church of St Bartholomew is a Grade II listed Gothic church built in 1821, located on Guntons Road in Newborough. It is constructed of yellow brick and features slate roofs. The nave has large double recessed pointed arch windows adorned with intersecting tracery. At the east end, there is a short chancel with a similar window. The south porch is designed with a gauged brick four-centred arch. The west tower is composed of three stages, each with stone string courses and battlements. Each stage, including the bell stage, has Y-tracery windows set within pointed arch recesses. The interior is plain, highlighted by a four-centred chancel arch. The church was built on the foundations of an earlier church, and it retains the royal arms from that previous structure.
