Description
Pilsgate House is a 17th-century house with significant late 19th-century additions. The original south wing is constructed of coursed stone rubble with a steeply pitched Collyweston stone roof featuring gabled ends. It has two storeys and a two-window range. The first floor has a three-light stone mullion window to the right, along with a three-light casement and a 19th-century tripartite sash window. A stringcourse runs along the first floor. A ridge stack is located off-centre, and there is an end stack. An outshut is situated at the rear. The north and west additions, dating to the late 19th century, are constructed of stone with Collyweston stone roofs, gabled in form, and feature stone mullion windows. An ornate cast iron verandah is present on the north side.
