Description
The former station and crossing keeper's house, dating from around 1846, is located on the Syston and Peterborough Line of the Midland Railway. This small building is constructed of coursed stone rubble with freestone dressings and features a Collyweston stone roof with coped gable ends. It is one storey high with an attic and has a gable end facing the platform. The house includes a two-light stone mullion window and a canted bay with a dormer above, which faces the road on the side. There is also a brick stack positioned over the front wall facing the road. The building is situated near a level crossing to the north of Barnack village.
